Clinton School District in Clinton, Arkansas has recently made the decision to use the eTrition school nutrition accountability system from Harris School Nutrition Solutions. Clinton is making plans now to go live in August 2015, just in time for the opening of the new school year; they operate two cafeterias within four schools. This move is in harmony with the district’s trend of upgrading its software systems to the latest technology to increase its effectiveness and overall efficiency.
The district was compelled to make the switch to eTrition as they have been loyal to Harris’ Meal Tracker software for many years. The promise of a fully hosted-solution which does not require software to be installed on every user workstation was a clear incentive. District users will now have the increased flexibility of performing oversight of the nutrition program from any Internet workstation. Clinton School District will make use of eTrition’s wide software module lineup, including point-of-sale, Free and Reduced applications, voice/text notifications, and meal planning. eTrition will also greatly reduce the time needed by its IT staff to maintain equipment and manage backups and software updates.
