eTrition Receives USDA Approval for Conducting Nutrient Analyses

eTrition by Harris School Solutions has been approved by USDA for use in conducting nutrient analyses.

eTrition by Harris School Solutions, the first web-based school nutrition product in the market, has received USDA approval for use in conducting nutrient analyses and is now available to all school districts within the United States free of charge. In compliance with National School Lunch Program meal pattern requirements, eTrition meets all nutrition department conditions set forth by the USDA and prepares districts to pass Coordinated Review Effort (CRE) audits.

“The objective of the eTrition Menu Planning and Nutritional Analysis Module is to empower districts with software that will provide them a proficient tool to create healthy, USDA-compliant menus with ease,” said Bradley Blankenship, Executive Vice President for Harris. “As the market leading software for K-12 school districts today, it is our hope that offering the use of our system as courtesy will alleviate districts of the financial impact they face in an effort to be compliant.”

In addition to the menu planning and nutritional analysis module, eTrition is browser-agnostic and includes integrated applications ranging from financial accounting, reporting, online payments and applications, to point of service solutions.
