Vermillion Public Schools has chosen to move forward with eTrition, a cloud-based child nutrition suite from Harris School Nutrition Solutions. The district will replace an aging software that no longer kept pace with the changing needs of school districts.
A cloud-based system means that the district will be able to access its data on any workstation or mobile device. Freed from the constraints of having their data tied to individual computers, district personnel are now able to get timely data to administrators much more quickly and to respond to parent inquiries faster. This design will also reduce the demands on the district’s IT staff because they no longer will be concerned with managing servers, backups, and program updates.
Vermillion will usher in the use of eTrition with the return to school in August 2015.
